A history of entrepreneurship
1963
How we started
Gallina Blanca Purina is founded, a brand created jointly and equally by two companies: Agrolimen and Ralston Purina. At the start, we were dedicated to feeding farm animals.
1979
First steps
We start producing food for dogs and cats.
1987
Social commitment
Our Foundation was established with a dedication to promoting the invaluable role of animals in society.
1988
“He wouldn’t do it to you” campaign
We launch the “He wouldn’t do it to you” campaign to raise awareness about abandoned animals.
2002
A new beginning
Agrolimen acquires the remaining 50% of Gallina Blanca Purina.
We acquire several brands and businesses in France, Germany and Italy.
With all these changes, we become Affinity Petcare. Affinity France and Affinity Italy are founded.
2003
Advance Veterinary Diets
Advance launches the Advance Veterinary Diets range.
2005
Hello, Portugal
We grow by expanding our business to Portugal.
2011
UAB Animals and Health Chair
The Affinity Foundation establishes the Animals and Health UAB Chair to explore the benefits of the bond between humans and animals.
2015
We arrive in the UK
We continue to grow and expand in the United Kingdom.
2016
Ultima Nature
Ultima launches the first natural range in the food channel, Ultima Nature, in Spain, France and Italy.
2017
Vets&Clinics is founded
We create Vets&Clinics, the digital knowledge and training platform aimed at the veterinary community in Spain, France, Italy and Portugal.
2018
New Active Defense formula
Advance launches the new Active Defense formula to protect dogs and cats through diet.
2022
Creating alliances
Affinity alliance with SPA and ENPA, leading entities in animal protection and the promotion of adoption in France and Italy respectively.
